başar, who had learned that we are tiny but "clever" beings on a rotating round object as he was born in Istanbul in 1981; was growing up just like everyone else. He was aware that nothing made anyone special
he became Superman as he jumped across armchairs, his urge revealed on the song of the Ghost Busters and he watched Eagle's Shadow in his grandma's arms. at his early ages, with the crosswords that his grandma pretended to solve together with him, he realized that he was living in crossword puzzles
he learned that the world he existed in, differed from the world existed inside him. he learned to learn, he learned their lies, and he learned to act, to live, the scarcity, the hunger and the unfairness
he learned to believe them; he saw that TV captured the world; he learned from his public to deify boxes with believed things inside. he learned that he is included in a race, he belongs to something; then, he learned that something divided into billions was not in one part.
he learned that he was a student; he learned that the world lived; he dreamed that there were kids inside the animals; he became a vegetarian; he learned new things at the cost of forgetting what he knew.
he lost, he made mistakes, he felt humiliated, he tried
from time to time
he could, or he could not
but he tried
for 10 years, he worked in miscellaneous jobs in the visual arts field. He started with web-designing, printing craft, design management, fiction directorship, art directorship; and he moved on by shooting short movies; writing articles, stories and poems; writing, filming and playing scripts; publishing magazines; starting and closing up agencies.. well, he tried
he started photography at the year of 2008. he adored photography; it was an awesome course for him on his way to the cinema. he planned to find a break and quit all of his jobs, and after December the 1st he concentrated on photography only. he retouched his photos, neither photo nor graphic was coming out exactly. in short, he did photographic works
he was criticized for his works, and he was glad for being criticized
...sincerely...
yılmaz başar babür
